Liberty entered their tilt with Newport - Bellevue on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-6, 25-21.

Bridget Hanson was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 assists and five digs. Those five digs gave her a new career-high.

Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Newport - Bellevue, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
