Soccer Recap: Westminster Takes a Loss

If Westminster was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Waccamaw last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Blessed Trinity Titans on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Westminster can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Blessed Trinity are ranked 12th).

Westminster dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Blessed Trinity, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Westminster wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee on the 10th. As for Blessed Trinity, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Greater Atlanta Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th. Greater Atlanta Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Blessed Trinity surely won't give up without a fight.
