Basketball Game Preview: North Marion Huskies vs. Scappoose Indians

The North Marion Huskies and the Scappoose Indians will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Scappoose is hoping to do what Astoria couldn't on Saturday: put an end to North Marion's winning streak, which now stands at four games. North Marion took their matchup with ease, bagging an 84-53 victory over Astoria. The Huskies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, everything went Scappoose's way against Estacada on Thursday as Scappoose made off with a 68-46 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Scappoose now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Marion, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for North Marion against Scappoose in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 71-35 victory. Does North Marion have another victory up their sleeve, or will Scappoose turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
