Sacred Heart Prep extended their winning streak  to four  on Friday, bumping them up to 4-1. They came within four  points of losing the streak, but they secured  a   31-27 W against the Carlmont Scots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gators also won the last time the pair played  back in August of 2019.

 Sacred Heart Prep got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Nico Pollioni out in front who threw for 200 yards and two  TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes. What's more,  Pollioni racked up 157.9  passer rating, the most he's  had since back in November of 2024.  Cooper Karros helped  Pollioni out on the ground, rushing for 72 yards and one  score on only seven carries.
As for Carlmont,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3. They gained 97 more yards on the day, but it was Sacred Heart Prep that made the best use of them.
 When it comes to explaining why Carlmont lost, don't look at  Brody Zirelli. Despite the final result, he threw for 330 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 73.8% of his passes, and also punched in one  TD on the ground.  Lucas Robertson also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matchups. Sacred Heart Prep will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Los Gatos at 7:00  p.m.  on October 10. As for Carlmont, they will challenge Mountain View at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Scots will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.5  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
