Basketball Recap: Southlands Christian Comes Up Short

Southlands Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 72-47 to the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs. The Eagles lost against the Cubs in their previous head to head back in December of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 61-58 score last time.

Southlands Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Southlands Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Avalon on January 10, 2025. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they will face off against Chino Hills at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
