Soccer Recap: Zeeland West Takes a Loss

Zeeland West lost against Spring Lake back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dux took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers. While losing is never fun, Zeeland West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Spring Lake are ranked 97th).

Zeeland West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-3. As for Spring Lake, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zeeland West will host Union at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spring Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holland's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
