Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Piles Up the Points Against Sandhills Classical Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crossroads Christian). They claimed a resounding 108-26 win over the Sandhills Classical Christian Lions. With the Colts ahead 78-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crossroads Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Watkins, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 15 points along with seven steals and six assists. The matchup was Watkins' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Jayson Baskerville was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Crossroads Christian and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 97.5 points over those games. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Crossroads Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-53 victory against Cape Fear Christian Academy on the 5th. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-45 defeat against Lee Christian on the 4th.
