Baseball Recap: Oasis Christian Gets the Win

Oasis Christian's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Canterbury Crusaders 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Crusaders on March 3rd, they had to take a 9-1 loss.

Kason Zurowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Oasis Christian is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Landon Gall was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Oasis Christian is 3-1 when Gall posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

Oasis Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Canterbury, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. As for Canterbury, they will take on Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Canterbury's pitchers better be ready for this one: Saint Stephen's Episcopal has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
