Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Monroe Bearcats couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were outmatched by Bellevue on the road and fell 49-7. Monroe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Bellevue's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Rubin, who rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryken Moon, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Bellevue, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bellevue will take on Arlington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully Bellevue likes a good challenge.
