Basketball Recap: Atchison County Takes a Loss

Atchison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Jefferson County North Chargers and fell 64-32. The Tigers lost against the Chargers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-47 score last time.

Atchison County's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Jefferson County North, they moved to 1-9 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Atchison County has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 draw against Oskaloosa on the 25th. As for Jefferson County North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 0-0 tie against Valley Falls on the 25th.
