Basketball Recap: Boone Central Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Boone Central had lost five straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-6 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Broken Bow Indians by a score of 61-48. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Boone Central found their leader in sophomore Kaden Miller, who posted 21 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Miller. Another player making a difference was Kade Hudson, who scored 12 points and five rebounds.

As for Broken Bow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Broken Bow lost, don't look at Dominic Nowak. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Ellis, who earned eight points and six boards.

Boone Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-36 victory against St. Paul on the 2nd. As for Broken Bow, they have also already played their next contest, a 70-57 defeat against McCook on the 6th.
