Softball Recap: Assumption Royals vs. Stratford Tigers
Assumption extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stratford Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Tuesday.
Breanna Aue made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
As for Stratford, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.
