Ridgeview Global Studies Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 764th, while Discovery is ranked 183rd).
Last Wednesday, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy ended up a good deal behind Tenoroc and lost 54-37. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy has struggled against Tenoroc recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Bryan Lopez, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Discovery put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Mulberry 86-50 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Discovery who now have three in a row.
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Discovery, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy was taken down by Discovery 66-20 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ridgeview Global Studies Academy was down 43-4.
