St. Francis came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Gonzales Spartans by a score of 60-50. That's more bragging rights for the Sharks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Francis has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Gonzales, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will head out to take on Greenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Francis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Gonzales, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Salinas at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
