After each having a week off, the Jones County Greyhounds and the Stockbridge Tigers will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jones County's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Stockbridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Jones County took a loss when they played away from home on September 6th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They came out on top against Union Grove by a score of 21-14.

Edmonds continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 255 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 34 yards. 157 of those passing yards were hauled in by Jaivon Solomon.

Jones County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Jr Clark and Zach Hurt. Hurt also set a new season high mark in total tackles with seven.

Meanwhile, Stockbridge came tearing into last Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they left with even more momentum. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott, who threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes.

It was truly a group effort as Cayden Bridges, Titus Mapp Jr, Mekhi Webb, and Webb picked up one apiece. Bridges is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another thorn in McDonough's side was Jakevion Beaty, who picked up two sacks and made five total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Jones County pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Stockbridge, their record now sits at 4-1.

However, it's not like Stockbridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 379.8. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
