Football Recap: Cokeville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pinedale last Friday, Cokeville came back down to earth. The Panthers lost to the Hot Springs County Bobcats at home by a 28-13 margin on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Bridger Peil had a dynamite game For Hot Springs County., rushing for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Cokeville dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Hot Springs County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cokeville is set to square off against their familiar foe Kemmerer at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hot Springs County will take on rival Lyman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
