Basketball Recap: Memphis Takes a Loss

Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Brown City Green Devils 39-11. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Green Devils are ranked 162nd).

Memphis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Brown City, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Marlette the next time they take the court. Memphis will head out to face Marlette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Brown City will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
