The matchup between St. Clair and Armada  on Wednesday hardly resembled the  3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Saints were the clear victors by  a  13-7 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Saints have won six contests by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Hayley McFarlane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned  (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Madisyn Treat, who  went a perfect 5-for-5 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  triple. Those  five  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Addison Oles was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  home run department: St. Clair  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  launched at least two  home runs in three consecutive  matches.
St. Clair pushed their record up to 9-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Armada, they moved to 7-2 with that  defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, St. Clair will square off against Sterling Heights Stevenson at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Saints are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak. As for Armada, they will head out to  square off against Richmond  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
