Football Game Preview: Moreau Catholic Mariners vs. Castro Valley Trojans + How To Watch

The Moreau Catholic Mariners will take on the Castro Valley Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Moreau Catholic was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-19 to James Logan. The Mariners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moreau Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lance Mitchell and William (AJ) Jackson.

Meanwhile, Castro Valley scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 54-42 to Bishop O'Dowd. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Castro Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Moreau Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Moreau Catholic beat Castro Valley 49-40 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Mariners repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
