Basketball Recap: Airline Takes a Loss

If Airline was riding high fresh off their 64-36 takedown of Calvary Baptist Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Airline Vikings took a 61-44 bruising from the Benton Tigers on Tuesday. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Airline has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-7 record this season. As for Benton, their win bumped their record up to 20-12.

Airline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-44 loss against Natchitoches Central on the 14th. As for Benton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-32 defeat against West Monroe on the 13th.
