Baseball Recap: Granby Comes Up Short

Granby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monson Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 7-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Brodie Funk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Granby's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Monson, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Granby is set to challenge their familiar foe Chicopee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Monson will face off against rival Amherst-Pelham Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
