Baseball Recap: Warren Warriors vs. Washington Blue Lions
It was a good run, but Warren unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 4-0 to the Washington Blue Lions.
Trent Taylor was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Taylor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Warren's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9. As for Washington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
As of now, neither Warren nor Washington have any future games scheduled.
