Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tradon Bessinger and Bode Sparrow Lead Davis to Victory

The Davis Darts didn't have too much trouble with the Mountain View Mavericks on Thursday as they won 60-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Darts.

Davis was led to victory by Bode Sparrow and Tradon Bessinger. Sparrow posted 13 points along with seven assists and six steals, while Bessinger dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave Bessinger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JT Turley, who earned ten points.

Davis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from Tyler Harris, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Harris is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Boman Bills was another key player, putting up seven points along with six boards and three steals.

Davis now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Davis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-57 win against Mountain Vista on the 6th. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next game, a 61-60 loss against Lone Peak on the 5th.
