Volleyball Preview: Parkland Trojans vs. Whitehall Zephyrs

After both having extra time off, the Parkland Trojans and the Whitehall Zephyrs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Parkland was able to grind out a solid victory over Louis E. Dieruff, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won four in a row.

Parkland walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Whitehall posted their closest win since April 6, 2024 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Freedom 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Whitehall got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 19-25, 15-13.

Parkland's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Whitehall, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Parkland's way against Whitehall in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Parkland made off with a 3-0 win.
