Soccer Recap: Smoky Mountain Comes Up Short

Smoky Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Henderson Falcons. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Smoky Mountain couldn't quite close it out.

Richi Ramirez and Aljosha Rusi scored both of Smoky Mountain's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Smoky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for West Henderson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5-2.
