Baseball Recap: Manitowoc Lutheran Comes Up Short

Manitowoc Lutheran lost against St. Mary Catholic back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lancers fell 6-2 to the Zephyrs. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manitowoc Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Hecker, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Logan Keesling also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Manitowoc Lutheran now has a losing record of 6-7. As for St. Mary Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Manitowoc Lutheran will take on Oostburg at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary Catholic will be paying especially close attention to the Lancers' match: after the Lancers face off against the Flying Dutchmen, they'll take on St. Mary Catholic again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
