Baseball Game Preview: Wausau West Warriors vs. Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers

The Wausau West Warriors will face off against the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wausau West's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Tomahawk with a sharp 17-0 victory. Considering the Warriors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Keegan Kruzan made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kruzan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Miles Waldvogel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Joe Graveen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, Wittenberg-Birnamwood waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Thunderbirds.
