Basketball Game Preview: LaGrange Grangers vs. Fayette County Tigers

LaGrange is 0-5 against Fayette County since January of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The LaGrange Grangers will be playing at home against the Fayette County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. LaGrange will be strutting in after a win while Fayette County will be coming in after a loss.

LaGrange is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since December 17, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Troup County out 63-60. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grangers.

Meanwhile, Fayette County entered their game against Sandy Creek on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Fayette County had to suffer through a 73-42 loss at the hands of Sandy Creek. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Patriots are ranked 20th).

LaGrange is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Fayette County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
