Baseball Recap: South Fremont Cougars vs. Buhl Indians

After flying high against American Falls last Tuesday, South Fremont came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Buhl Indians by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Tayson Farley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kaycen Briggs also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

South Fremont now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Buhl, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, South Fremont will be taking part in a tournament against Bear Lake at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Buhl, they will take on Teton in a tournament on Friday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
