Football Recap: Hinsdale South Falls to Wauconda in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Hinsdale South unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 44-26 bruising from the Wauconda Bulldogs on Friday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hinsdale South's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Donte Jett, who picked up 179 receiving yards and three TDs, and Jackson Schuyler, who threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Isaiah Burton handled things on the ground, rushing for 92 yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hinsdale South is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Riverside-Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wauconda, they will head out to take on Maine West at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
