Flag Football Recap: Service Falls Short Against Ranked West Anchorage

Service faced West Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cougars lost 26-6 to the Eagles. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 26-20.

Service didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Alissa Coles, Karlierose Lealaisalanoa, and Tatum Poppy picked up one apiece.

Service's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for West Anchorage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Service wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-6 defeat against Wasilla on the 20th. As for West Anchorage, they have also already played their next matchup, a 44-7 victory against Eagle River on the 22nd.
