Basketball Recap: University Find Success

University hadn't done well against Stoney Creek recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The University Eagles walked away with a 62-54 victory over the Stoney Creek Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Cougars back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-46 defeat.

The win got University back to even at 8-8. As for Stoney Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the University Eagles take on the Royal Oak Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal Oak will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something University surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stoney Creek, they are taking a road trip to square off against Berkley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stoney Creek is facing Berkley at the right time seeing as Berkley is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
