Volleyball Recap: North Haven Takes a Loss

North Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamden Green Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

North Haven started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-19.

Grace Alfano paced North Haven's offense, picking up six kills. Alfano got some help from Guilianna Mesner and her ten assists. Finally, Bianca Watts kept North Haven's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

North Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Hamden, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

North Haven has already played their next matchup (against Career Magnet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hamden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hillhouse on the 8th.
