Basketball Recap: Thrasher Rebels vs. Simmons Blue Devils

With a playoff win on the line, Thrasher rose to the challenge on Monday. They slipped by the Simmons Blue Devils 56-55. The victory was familiar territory for the Rebels, who have now won four matches in a row.
Despite the loss, Simmons still got an impressive performance from Akiah Prince, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and 14 boards. That's the most points Prince has posted since back in November of 2023.
Thrasher's win bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Simmons, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 28-1.
Looking ahead, Thrasher will square off against Biggersville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Biggersville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Thrasher surely won't give up without a fight. Simmons does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
