Brewster won the last time they faced Hendrick Hudson and things went their way on Monday too. The Bears were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Sailors.

Phoenix Siuda looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Prohaszka, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sandro Velardo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win got Brewster back to even at 1-1. As for Hendrick Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brewster will venture away from home to square off against Arlington at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Hendrick Hudson, they will head out to challenge Westlake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Sailors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
