Softball Recap: Yazoo County Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Yazoo County Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Cleveland Central Wolves and fell 9-8.

Minely Crozier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in triples. Madison Gardner also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Yazoo County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cleveland Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yazoo County will welcome Ridgeland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Yazoo County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Cleveland Central, they will host Lake Cormorant at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
