Football Game Preview: Krum Bobcats vs. Bonham Warriors

The Krum Bobcats will square off against the Bonham Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Krum has eight straight victories, Bonham has 18 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Krum against Farmersville as the squad secured a 70-36 win. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

Krum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Holland led the charge by rushing for 201 yards and two TDs. Holland was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Lane Larson was another key receiver, picking up 109 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Bonham had to suffer through a 71-14 loss at the hands of Van Alstyne. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1072nd, while the Panthers are ranked 535th).

Krum's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Bonham, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything came up roses for Krum against Bonham in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 48-0 win. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
