Recap: Legend Titans vs. Cherokee Trail Cougars

It was a good run, but the Legend Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 52-42 to Cherokee Trail. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Legend has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Legend lost, one person who can't be blamed is Katie Lamb. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Aubrey Cook was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three blocks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cherokee Trail to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaliyah Broadus, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Damara Allen, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Legend's loss dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Cherokee Trail, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Legend will head out on the road to square off against ThunderRidge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. ThunderRidge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Legend is ranked second). As for Cherokee Trail, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grandview at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Grandview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Wednesday.
