Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson County North Chargers vs. Pleasant Ridge Rams

Jefferson County North hasn't had much luck against Pleasant Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Jefferson County North has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jefferson County North managed to slip by Jackson Heights the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chargers came up short against the Cobras on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Ridge beat McLouth 6-3 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Hank Lance and Coben Hoppe did most of the damage at the plate: Lance got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Hoppe went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Hoppe has posted since back in April of 2024.

Pleasant Ridge's win bumped their record up to 11-8-2. As for Jefferson County North, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17-3.
