Basketball Recap: East Palestine Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

East Palestine needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Jacklyn Ogle. The East Palestine Bulldogs secured a 34-28 W over the Valley Christian Eagles on Thursday thanks in part to Ogle, who went 10 for 20 on her way to 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played.

East Palestine's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Valley Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

East Palestine will take on Leetonia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. East Palestine is facing Leetonia at the right time seeing as Leetonia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Valley Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-20 defeat against Memorial on the 25th.
