Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake won against Bethlehem Central on Wednesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Spartans came out on top against the Troy Flying Horses by a score of 7-2. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Ava Yahoudy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Lilly Morse was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bailey Dinon, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
