Linn-Mar had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bettendorf Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 11-4 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in July of 2024.

Linn-Mar pushed their record up to 19-20 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Bettendorf, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 24-12.

Looking ahead, Linn-Mar will face off against Iowa City West on Friday. As for Bettendorf, they will head out on the road to take on Davenport Central on Friday.
