Basketball Recap: Madison West Comes Up Short

Madison West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Middleton Cardinals 68-9. The contest marked the Regents' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Madison West's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Middleton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Madison West will challenge Sun Prairie West at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Middleton, they will take on Madison East at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Madison East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Middleton likes a good challenge.
