Volleyball Recap: Clarkstown South Takes a Loss

Clarkstown South lost against John Jay two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Patriots.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: John Jay scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 25-19.

John Jay was led to victory by Samantha Seymour and Nina Barra. Seymour had 12 digs and two assists, while Barra had eight digs. That's the most digs Barra has posted over her last 12 matches.

Clarkstown South's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-6-1. As for John Jay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3-1 record this season.

Clarkstown South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. John Jay has already played their next matchup (against the Vikings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
