Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-3 to the Spencerville Bearcats. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jefferson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karder Agner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That run was Agner's first of the season.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Spencerville, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Spencerville, they will face off against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
