There's no place like home for Lafayette County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Spring Hill Bears by a score of 43-36 on Friday. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 28.5 points per game.

It was another big night for Rodrevious Bailey, who rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jordan Walters also helped out as he racked up 119 rushing yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lafayette County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 374 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette County will square off against Murfreesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Murfreesboro will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lafayette County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Spring Hill, they will face off against Foreman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill is facing Foreman at the right time seeing as Foreman is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
