Softball Recap: Broadneck Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Broadneck took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Crofton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins never let Crofton get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on four straight.

Not much got past Rylan Crisafulli, who gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Crofton off the board. Crisafulli has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Broadneck's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Herrera, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Broadneck's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Crofton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Broadneck and Crofton will both be playing Northeast the next time they take the field. The Bruins will host the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while Crofton will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
