Chazy scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Johnsburg Central Jaguars 52-47. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnsburg Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Sauer-Jones, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Sauer-Jones has been hot, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Liam McKinney, who posted 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Chazy and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Johnsburg Central, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chazy will take on Boquet Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnsburg Central, they will host Seton Catholic Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
