Recap: Thomaston Bears vs. Wamogo Regional Warriors
After flying high against the Gilbert Yellowjackets on Wednesday, the Thomaston Bears came back down to earth. Thomaston fell just short of Wamogo Regional by a score of 64-61. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Thomaston in their matchups with Wamogo Regional: they've now lost six in a row.
Wamogo Regional's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Turtoro, who scored 21 points along with five assists. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Delello, who scored 17 points.
Thomaston has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Wamogo Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomaston will take on Wamogo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wamogo Regional, they will head out on the road to face off against Terryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
