Flag Football Game Preview: Peninsula Panthers vs. Mira Costa Mustangs

The Peninsula Panthers will take on the Mira Costa Mustangs at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Peninsula hasn't scored more than 13 points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Peninsula's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against St. Mary's Academy on Tuesday. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Belles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mira Costa, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They managed a 12-8 victory over Redondo Union on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Sea Hawks are ranked 20th).

Mira Costa now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Peninsula, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
